Saturday the 20th October, 2018 is the Wentworth by-election – made necessary by Malcolm Turnbull's resignation from parliament.
This is a big opportunity for us to send a message to the major parties that the lockouts, and Sydney’s cultural vibrancy, are going to affect them at the ballot box and to demonstrate that Keep Sydney Open is serious about demanding real change.
Change on the issues you have told are important to you ...
- Nightlife (including 24hr transport)
- Corruption and cronyism (bottle of grange buys you entry to the races)
- Drugs and harm minimisation
- Gambling and music-venue-killing pokies
- Civil liberties
We need you to hand out fliers, stickers and greet locals across the course of the day at polling booths in Wentworth. There is well-prepped team ready to go, so it'll be a fun day out. All you need to do is show up! The plan of attack will be communicated early next week with information and KSO T's (if you don't already have one) being provided for the day.
This is your chance to make a difference and to send the politicians in both Sydney and Canberra a loud message. Get involved.
So, sign up below and have your voice heard! :)
