In our effort to fight for a more vibrant city, Keep Sydney Open achieved one of the best debut election results in NSW history. KSO is now a movement that is stronger than ever with a platform that has spread across the state. We want to step up our efforts to change culture, nightlife and politics in NSW for the better.

To get there, we’re expanding our leadership team with a variety of roles. If, like us, you’re fed up with politics in NSW and want to channel your frustration and skills into real change, read on and apply!

On a shoestring budget, our grassroots campaign captured almost 10 per cent of the vote in some areas, narrowly missing out on an Upper House seat by a few thousand votes. Our strong showing helped urge the NSW Government to announce that it will reassess the lockout laws. We made nightlife and culture an election issue and, beyond lockouts, our ambitious agenda, fresh voice and way of doing politics resonated across the state.

So what’s next? We have council seats in our sights, we want to broaden our reach, strengthen relationships with communities and businesses and, of course, perform even better at the next state election.

With so much exciting work to do, we’re looking to expand our leadership team.

In addition to managing their teams, the newly appointed leads will join the Board on the Keep Sydney Open Executive, helping shape the strategic direction of the organisation. Everyone in Keep Sydney Open, including the Broad and its leader work on a volunteer basis.

Working within the group offers a unique opportunity to make your mark on our state’s cultural and political future and build your professional profile. You’ll also be joining and learning from a diverse community of skilled professionals in economics, media, marketing, video production, entertainment and small business.
